Abstract

Food items: the studied materials consisted of defatted soy flour and estrogen hormone ,(45)Female Albino rats. The rats fed the standard diet for one week then rats were divided into main groups. Group (A) was fed on standard diet only as a control (-ve). Group (B) fed on for three weeks on the hypercholesterolemic diet to induce hypercholesterolemia. The group B divided to sub groups to become as following:
Group (1): Control negative (fed on standard diet ).
Group (2): Control positive (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet).
Group (3): (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet + 5% defatted soy flour
Group (4): (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet + 10% % defatted soy flour).
Group (5): (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet + 15% % defatted soy flour).
Group (6):(Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet + 20% % defatted soy flour).
Group (7): (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet +25% defattedsoy flour).
Group (8): (Fed on hypercholesterolemic diet + 30% defatted soy flour).
Group (9): (Fed on standard diet + estrogen hormone). After four weeks Feeding the experimental diets, the animal were killed, blood and internal organs samples were collected for determination of cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, VLDL, HDL and other blood parameters. As for BWG the group fed on 10 %, 20% defatted soy flour). And estrogen hormone showed significant increase (P<0.05) when compared with control positive, while the group fed on 5% defatted soy flour was the lowest value of BWG. While the other groups showed non significant increase when compared with control positive. The results showed that Food intake of groups fed on 20 % and 30% defatted soy flour were very high significantly increase (P<0.05). when compared with control positive while group fed on 5,10,15 % and 20% defatted soy flouer was high significantly low (P<0.01) when compared with control positive.
As for FER that results revealed that group fed on 30% defatted soy flouer and estrogen hormone were significantly more (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the lowest value was for group fed on 5% defatted soy flour. While the other groups showed non significant increase when compared with control positive.
As for relative heart weight the results showed that the control 5, 10, 15 % and 20% defatted soy flour were significantly leas (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the other groups showed non significant decrease when compared with control positive. As for relative liver weight the results showed that control negative groups showed significantly less (P<0.05) when compared with control positive also the groups fed on 5,10, % and30% defatted soy flouer were significantly less (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the other groups showed non significant decrease when compared with control positive. As for relative kidney weight the results showed that all experimental groups, had significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. except the group fed estrogen hormone showed non significant decrease when compared with control positive. As for relative lungs weight the results revealed that groups fed on And10% defatted soy flour was significantly high (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the groups fed on and20% defatted soy flour showed significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the groups fed on and5% defatted soy flour and estrogen hormone showed significantly decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. As for relative spleen weight While other groups didn’t show any significant differences. The results showed that all experimental diets showed significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive as for total cholesterol while the group fed on estrogen hormone was the lowest value and the group fed on 10% defatted soy flouer was the highest value. While groups fed on 15% defatted soy flouer showed non significant decrease. Also the group fed on 5% defatted soy flouer showed non significant increase when compared with control positive. Concerning serum T.G and HDL the rats fed on 5,10,20 % and 25% defatted soy flour was significantly decrease (P<0.05) while group fed on15 % and30% defatted soy flour was significantly increase (P<0.05) when compared with control positive . As for LDL the results showed that all experimental diets had decreased LDL and the lowest value was for group fed on estrogen hormone. As for the VLDL the results revealed that group fed on 10,15% and 25% defatted soy flour showed significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive, while the group fed on 30% defatted soy flour showed and estrogen hormone significant increase (P<0.05) when compared with control positive while group fed on 5 % and15% defatted soy flour showed non significant increase when compared with control positive and other groups showed no significant decrease. As for AST The results showed that groups fed on 25 % and 30% defatted soy flour were significant decrease (P<0.05) as for AST and lowest value was for group fed on 30% defatted soy flour while the highest value was for the group fed on 5% defatted soy flour and other groups had improved. As for ALT The results revealed that all experimental groups showed significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. As for ALP the results showed that groups fed on 15 % and20% defatted soy flour showed significant decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. The best result was for group fed on estrogen hormone. As for uric acid the results showed that groups fed on 20% defatted soy flour and estrogen hormone were significantly decrease (P<0.05) when compared with control positive while the other groups showed non significant increase when compared with control positive. As for creatinine the results revealed that groups fed on 10,15 % and30% defatted soy flour showed significant increase (P<0.05) when compared with control positive. While the others groups didn’t show any significant difference when compared control positive. As for urea the results revealed that all groups showed non significant decrease when compared with control positive and the lowest value was for group fed on 20% defatted soy flour while the highest value was group fed on estrogen hormone.
