Abstract

An electromagnetic field is a physical field composed of two elements, magnetic fields and electric fields. The term generally is used to refer to both magnetic fields and electric
fields because they normally occur together whenever electricity is in use. Magnetic and electric fields occur as invisible lines of force that carry energy. The energy radiates out from any wire or electric device energized with electricity.
(WHO, 2011) The study aiming to study pregnant women compliance for using safety guideline regarding effect of electromagnetic devices The The study was being conducted at antenatal outpatient clinic at Ain Shams Maternity Hospital in Ain Shams University. The current study involved 210 pregnant women Data were collected using an interviewing questionnaire,
Observation checklist, Woman’s Compliance Sheet Regard Electromagnetic devices used, and Three Levels Likert attitude scale designed by the researcher regarding electromagnetic
devices was developed by researcher after reviewing of related literature.
A content of validity of the developed was tested by supervisors. A pilot study was carried out on 21 women who
were excluded from the study.
The interview was conducted individually collection of data was , feed to computer , tabulated, analyzed and presented in descriptive and association form The Result of study illustrated that • The majority of them 80 % had poor knowledge pre counseling , 81.4% had good knowledge after counseling wit one month and 78.6% had good knowledge after counseling
with 3 months.
• 82% of them had incorrect practice pre counseling and 77% had complete correct practice post counseling with one month and 71% had complete correct practice after counseling with 3 months.
• 60% 0f them had negative attitude pr counseling, 69% had positive attitude post counseling with one month and 47.1%
positive attitude after counseling 3 months.
• There were highly significance relation observed between pre and 1 month following counseling, between pre and 3 months following counseling ,and in knowledge practice and attitude between 1 and 3 months following counseling.
There were highly significance relation observed between Pregnant women total knowledge, practice and attitude and their educational level.
