المستخلص
The researcher submitted a study for completing the P.H.D degree
entitled، the social variables correlated with lupus Erythmatosiss
disease. A pilot study conducted on a purposive sample of Riyadh
Community hospital patients.
The study problems handles a set of the social varibles which
affect the discus offset and its severity . there varibles which are
internal marriage، the family support، ignorance، illiteracy. Lack
of awareness، magic، civil eye envy،alternative medicine، reliance،
program and the role of both the state and the civil societies. Besides
to this، this study investigates the effect of the patients health on their
social adaptation، their performance to their roles and their social
relationships . this is a pilot study dependent on the social research
approach and the case study.
The data collection tools included the questionnaire sheet، the
attitude measurement and the case study record through which the
study querries and tested are answered، the most important concerts
of the study we me clarified. Which included the fllowing lupus
Erythmatosiss disease and the social varibles. The study was applied
to a sample of lupus Erythmatosiss disease who have follow up in

king faisal specialist. The armed forces hospital king fahd، national
Guard hospital and the security forces hospital.
The samles was purposive selected because it is the best with the
patients، sample. The study concluded the following results.
1 - lupus Erythmatosiss hits females more than males by a rate.
2- there is no relationship between inbreeding and emergence of
the disease despite the fact that inbteeding represented 60% of the
sample and their patents have exercised the inbreeding.
3 -All patients believe in fatalism and trust in God and are looking for
treatment not dependent، in case of dependency that have emerged in
the case study it led to death.
4 - All respodents in witchcraft، eye and envy because it is part of
their religious faith، but they believe they are enamored، but most of
them believe that the cause of their illness is eye and envy infection.
5 - Ignorance، illiteracy and lack of awareness affect the patient،s
health status، although the majority of respondents are aware of their
illness and learn online all new about the “SLE” disease.
6 - All respondents do not depend on alternative medicine، but they
ate getting help with ruqyah.
7 - Most of respondents are in good financial status in addition that
the State provides treatment for patients with incurable disease.

8 - there is no association support the “SLE” patients but health
organizations provide the necessary treatment and medical services
needed by “SLE” patients lupus.
The researcher provided some recommendations، the most
important are:
1 - the need to focus on scientific، medical and social research and
provision of statistics provide necessary in medical and social areas.
2 -Establishment of associations supporting of patients of chronic
disease in general and “SLE” in particular، and provision of social
servise which helps to raise their awareness of health.
3 -The provision of special departments in the hospital to illustrate
the disease to patients because of the doctor،s inability to do so
because of clinics congestion.
4 -Educate the community about the risks of inbreeding، provision
of brochures explaining the disease of “SLE” to patients and their
families.
5 -Illustrate the importance of family support for the patient to family
members.
6 -The need for educational، health and media authorities to work
together to the raise health awareness of “SLE” patient، and strengthen
the valueof trusting in God and not dependencyHealth Organization shall cooperate with social organization to
help “SLE” patients to solve their financial problems and help them
to achieve social adjustment so they can do their roles and-their
social relationships
