Abstract
This thesis deals with synthesis and studies of sugars con tainlng sulfur and their metal .complexes.
It includes three chapters :
The first covers the literatures up to date of the sugar hydrazones,
sugar hydrazides, and their corresponding cycliza tion products. Also, the first chapter ends with literaturesurvey on the sugar metal complexes and their biological acti veties and clinical uses. The second chapter includes a discussion of the wor-k carried out by the candidate. This chapter is divided into five parts. In the first part, a number of saccharides hydrazonecarbodi thioa te are prepared by the condensation of S-methyl orS_benzylhydrazinecarbodi thioa te with different.
