Abstract

Common bean and Cowpea are two of the most important leguminous vegetable plants, cultivated in Egypt in the open
field and under green houses. Its cultivated area was increased during the last years especially in new reclaimed areas for local consumption and exportation to the foreign markets. The present
study was carried out during 2007 and 2008 seasons at the experimental farm of the faculty of Agriculture at Moshtohot to
study the following points on the important sap-sucking pests
infesting common bean and cowpea plants: Tetranychus urticae, T. cucurbitacearum (egg and mobile stages), Bemisia tabaci(eggs, nymphs, pupa and adults) and Thrips tabaci (nymphs & adults.
