Abstract

This essay discusses risk factors of development of diabetic nephropathy and the pathology that include glycosylation of circulating internal proteins.
• GH-IGF-IGFBP axis component play key roles in the maintenance of normal renal function development of diabetic nephropathy
• Interrupting IGF-I action may offer and effective therapeutic opportunities to inhibit the development progress of diabetic nephropathy.
