Abstract This study was performed on 60 patients All patients were subjected to(ABGs),pulmonary function tests .(CPI) ,echocardiography and MDCT Group A: 14 patients without pulmonary hypertension. Group B: 46 patients with pulmonary hypertension. Group B1 : included 24 patients who received continuous O2 therapy Group B2: included 22 patients who received prednisolone, frusemide, and azathioprine The results revealed that the prevalence of pulmonary hypertension was 76.7% in all IPF There was a negative correlation between m PAP and all PFTs parameters , PA diameter by MDCT and PaO2 and a positive correlation with CPI and Tei index. There was also a a positive correlation between mPAP and GAP index. There was no significant difference of mean PAP before and after treatment with O2 alone or O2 with drugs. |
