Abstract The aim of the study is to study the impact of protocol of care on pregnancy outcome with women at risk for preterm labor. DESIGN, Aquasi experimental. SETTING, this study was conducted at Banha University Hospital in antenatal outpatient clinic, Obstetric unit and obstetric emergency unit. SUBJECTS , The Sample size is , 011 pregnant women divided into control and study group., criteria age, gestational age from 24week, and Free from medical disease. The sample was convenient sample. Tools, the tools used for data collection were questionnaire sheet, observation check list and follow up, and instruction booklet. Results, the mean age of the studied women, was ±3.72 2.±years in control group and ±3.±2 2.3 in study group. There were highly statistical significant improvement of women knowledge, practice between two groups. Protocol of care for women with risk factors were statistically significant with health problems, knowledge, and practice, life style, physical, psychological, and sexual factors that affect preterm labor. Recommendations, improving mother’s knowledge, practice and attitude about pregnancy outcome especially preterm labor , mother’s wrong beliefs about preterm and it’s should be corrected health teaching, education program should be part of the work of health office personal in outpatient clinics. |
