Abstract
Viral hepatitis is a multisyscem disease
involving many orgar. predominantly the liver .
. acut:e or chronic hepatic injury and extrahepatic
manifestatior.s or cor.1plications may be due to
systemic infection (Marce1lin et al., 1993).
HCV may be presented oy extrahepatic features
such as itchhng ,liche planus, pure red cell
aplasia, porphyria,immune chyroiditis, vaso
occlusive disease GlcT.erulonephritis polyarteritis
myocarditis•, occula ulcer, asymmetrical
arthritis” sjogren’s syndrome, retroperitoneal
::.ymphadenopathy and essential mixed
cryoglobulinemia (EMC) {Pawlotsky et al., 1994).
