Abstract
The sensitivity of CR-39 and CN-8S as a Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors ”SSNTD.” was varied strongly by the effect of environmental parameters on it. In the beging of this work, the characteristics of plastic detectors at normal conditions were intensively studied In this thesis, different treatments were done to increase the detector sensitivity, such as the oxygenation nitrogenation and the freezing water effects. In addition the dielectric permi ttivi ty and dc-conducti VI ty of CR-39 were used as a dosimeter of high fluency of alpha-particle.
