Abstract

There is no doubt that there is a great interest on aging and its causes from human especially women, this increase scientific researches on aging, including this research, which detect mitochondrial DNA in relation to aging, where mitochondria is the house of energy in the living cell .
In the mitochondria ATP is produced. It is the primary energy compound in the body and during the process of its production the free radicals are formed, which is considered one of the most dangerous elements that affect the vitality and efficiency of mitochondria, but the body resists this effect by producing antioxidants.
If malfunction occurs in the body’s production of antioxidants, the level of free radicals become higher and begin to demolition of the structure of the body and then show a lot of ailments and that is considered the beginning of aging.
This study is a try to search aging that occurs without any external interference and through gene expression of a group of genes in respiratory chain beside some biochemical analysis of some antioxidants and free radicals in different ages.
45 male albino rats were used; they were obtained from Helwan farm animals affiliated to the Egyptian Organization for Biological Products and Vaccines.
