There was statistical significant correlation between nurses’ performance according to job description before applying quality system and performance according to standards of quality system after applying quality system .
In the light of the findings obtained from the present study, these points are recommended:
1. Nurses job description should be developed and updated to be consented with standards of quality system .
2. In-service training and education programs must be a continuous process about quality system to staff nurses .
3. In-service training programs about infection control measurement should be periodically conducted to staff nurses .
4. Develop and maintain open channels of communication among infection control unit and staff nurses to encourage them for expressing their problems especially associated with infection control .
5. Enhancing career growth and development of staff nurses through participation on special task forces and committees which allow staff nurses to form new relationships and learn new skills by having the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
