Abstract

In the present study, The Montanide ISA50 oil adjuvant FMD, RVF and combined (FMD/RVF) vaccines tested in sheep and compares it with single vaccines either FMD or RFV alone. The peak of mean antibody titers with FMD (O1&A&SAT2) vaccine reached at 10th-12th weeks, becoming (2.82 &2.82&2.7) log10 respectively by SNT and (2.97 &2.96 &2.94) log10 by ELISA technique. The protective level of antibody titers still until the 36th week for (O1&A&SAT2) post vaccination and then declined. In case of RVF vaccine the peak of antibody titers reached at 10th weeks, becoming 3.09 log10 by SNT and 3.33 log10 by ELISA technique. The mean of antibody titer continued with protective level till 32thweeks. In case of combined FMD/RVF vaccine, the antibody titers against either FMD (O1&A&SAT2 ) or RVF reached the peak level at 10th weeks, becoming (3.03&3.09& 3.1) log10, 3.12 log10 by SNT and( 3.33&3.49&3.48) log10, 3.72 log10 by ELISA, respectively. The protective level still until the 36th and 32th weeks post vaccination, respectively. Finally we can conclude the vaccination with the oil adjuvant combined FMD/RVF vaccine was similar to those obtained from vaccination with either oil adjuvant FMD or oil adjuvant RVF separately with saving time, money and effort.
