Abstract

The interaction between factor A and factor B treatments were significant for corm diameter, corm fresh and dry weights, number of cormels/Plant and cormels fresh and
dry weights/Plant. The best overall interaction treatments were obtained from fertilizaing
Gladiolus with high level of compost (15 ton/fed) in combination with Effective
microorganisms + active yeast follwed by EM.in some cases such as corm parameters
(corm diameter and corm fresh and dry weights).
Chemical constituents:
The interaction treatments were singnificant for photosynthetic pigments
obtained from plants fertilized with compost (15 ton/fed) +Effective microorganisms with
vitamins (vit.E followed by vit. B1).
The interaction treatments were sgnificant for N, Pand K % in the dry leaves and N %
in the corms of Gladiolaus. The highest values were obtained from plants fertilizing
with compost (15 ton/fed.)in combination with E.M +A.Y . followed by E.M then A.Y
In conclusion, it may be recommended, in order to obtain better vegetative growth along
with high quality and quantit of flowering production and goodcorm and cormels formation
of Gladiolus grandiflorus Cv. Eurovision, to fertilize such plants with compost at 15 ton/fed.
and treating plants with Effective microorganisms plus active yeast (E.M+ A.Y.)or E.M.
