The research discusses the novel of Raga Gidh “the Vulture” by Bano Qudsia. The novel is considered one of the most important recent Urdu novels in Pakistan. It depicted all classes of the Pakistani society. Also, it discussed the essential issues that enriched the modern Urdu literature such as the ill-gotten gains and their harmful effects on all creatures, the alienation and how a whole generation of Pakistani immigrants suffered from psychological and social alienation, oriental medicine used by most of the Indians, and the western medicine that uses drugs and medicine. In this part, the author of this novel focused on Yuga, the spiritual sport that started first in India to be practiced by many for relieving psychological stress. Also, the study discussed fatalism and volition as well as death as a fact in man’s life. In addition to the thematic study, the research is a technical one. It studies the characters, description techniques, narration and dialogue of the novel as well as the linguistic features of the novel.
