Abstract
The present study was carried out on 54 patients with pleural effusions they were aetiologcally divided into 4 groups:
group1: included 24 patients with tuberculous effusions
groupII: included 12 patients with malignant effusions
groupIII:included 12 patients with transudative effusions.
