Abstract
from the viewpoint of optimization of the
pharmacotherapy, drug release should be controlled in accordance with the therapeutic purposes and the pharmacological properties
of active substances. The design of new dosage forms that increase drug
effectiveness or improve the characteristics of the already existing dosage forms is one of the trends of pharmaceutical technologies and pharmacist’s research work. The development of drug
delivery systems focused on the selection of the most appropriate dosage form that allows patients to take their medications in convenient and effective manners. The primary objective to
improve the clinical effectiveness is to increase patient compliance, reduce adverse effects, reduce the overall use of medication and enhance drug efficacy and tolerance. Amongst the
differently used administration routs; the oral route is considered
to be the most preferred and convenient mode of drug
administration.
