Abstract the present investigationce was carried out to survey the occurrence and prevalence of sorghum smut diseases, isola tion and identification the physiologic forms of sphacelotheca sorghi ( Lk .) clint, the cause of covered ker-nel smut disease of sorghum that prevaling at Upper Egypt ( Sohag and Assiut locality ) as well as methods of inocula-tion and effect of certain storage conditions on vibility of teliospores. Resistance of sorghum cultivars to infec-tion with s Sorghi and role of certain factors on disease resistance and control measurements were also investigated. |
