Abstract In this study, There was no any bactericidal effect of ginger extract on E .coli at used ginger extract concentrations. In ex-vivo study, there was no cell morphological changes have been observed at any interval post culture in the tested groups after feeding ginger. The phagocytic capacity was high in ginger extract treated group in comparison to control. Also, the phagocytic percentage in ginger fed group was high in comparison to control. The phagocytic percent of phagocytic cells from ginger treated animals after 24 h, 7days and 14 days were 55%, 64% and 68%, respectively compared to 51%, 53% and 56% in control. Our study revealed that the bactericidal activity of cells from ginger extract treated animals was more than that of control untreated animals cells. The bactericidal activity of cells from ginger extract treated animals after 24h, 7 days and 14 days were 51%, 56% and 44% respectively compared to 53%, 46% and 25% in the control. NO production of cells from ginger extract treated animals was less than that of control untreated animals cells. The NO production of cells from ginger extract treated animals after 24h, 7 days and 14 days were 18.6, 15.8 and 13.9 mole respectively compared to 23.5, 33.7 and 29.7 mole in the control. |
