Abstract
Nicorandil is the first of a relatively new class of potassium channel activators used for the treatment of angina pectoris. However Nicorandil is a potential inducer of severe mouth ulceration. In this study 150 cardiac patients on a regime of Nicorandil a vasodilator drug . The result of the present study showed that topical steroids (Kenacort) used for management of Nicorandil induced oral ulcer, was effective only in reducing manifestation of pain and erytherma.
