Abstract
Study of nurses activities using time and motion analysis help in developing plan for effective use of time to improve patient outcome, reduce error and promote patient and nurses satisfaction. So understanding of how nurses spend their time will target opportunities for nursing care effectiveness through improvements in management’s workforce, work processes, and organizational culture. The present study aimed at studying the nursing activities using time and motion analysis to identify activities performed by the nurses to find out time consumed in performing different activities. The study was carried out at Samanod General Hospital which followed Ministry Of Health And Population. The subject included in the study were (44) subjects randomly selected from their names list, one head nurse and ten nurses from 4 units, 2 medical and 2 surgical units.
