Abstract
This work is performed to investigate the influence of some acidifiers (Gallimix) on the disposition kinetics and tissue residues of β-lactam antibiotic (amoxicillin) in healthy and experimentally infected broiler chickens with pathogenic E.coli O78. The bacterial colony count was also investigated in experimentally infected broiler chickens in the presence of acidifier alone as well as in the presence of acidifier and amoxicillin together. Reversed phase-high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and solid phase extraction (SPE) were used for determining amoxicillin concentrations in serum and tissue samples.
