Abstract

This study is focusing on the study of the different alternatives to enhance the performance of el-Wastani LPG plant located at Egyptian Nile delta (Damietta), via analyzing the following parameters; Feed chemical composition, capacity increasing route, and recovery degree per the individual components of NGLs (butane, propane, and ethane). The results presented to demonstrate various points showed that the most feed composition saving in energy and the higher productivity route was the richest one. Also, the ways for enhancing the performance were examined based on the return on investment rule where the capacity increasing route was the most favored one. But, by applying advanced intelligent technique is used to assist in the process of decision making efficiently, where by using it the optimum selection shifted from capacity increasing route to propane operation mode after adding additional ruling concepts such as (marketing, feed stability, recovered NGL quantity).
