Abstract

Indwelling Urinary Catheterization is A Common Practice and Practice and Represents a Leading Cause of Noscomial Infection Gram - Negative Bacteria are the Commonest Commonest CAUTI . Quinolone Being Effective Antibiotics are Widely Used to Treat CAUTIS With Increasingly Developing Quinolone Resistance .
The Present Study Aims to Study CAUTI Among Males Admitted To University Hospitals in Urology Department For Host Characteristics Causative Pathogens and Susceptibility to Quinolone Antibiotics With Detection of Mutant Gyra Gene By PCR In Quinolone - Resistant Gram- Negative Isolates
Escherichia Coli Represents 46% bof of 123 Isolates from the 100 Studi Isolates from the 100 Studied Cases Follwed by Ps . Aeruginosa (19.7%) , Protues Mirabilis and Staphylococcus Aureus (1.6%)Each .
