It may be localized to specific muscle groups such as ocular muscles or it may be generalized. MG is presented with double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, slurred speech, difficult swallowing, problems with aspiration of food, drink, or foreign bodies, and weakness of neck and shoulder-girdle muscles.MG may be associated with other autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, pernicious anaemia, systemic lupus erythematosus, hyper or hypothyroidism, DM, pernicious anemia, Cushing syndrome, thymic tumors and Addison disease etc. |
