This study was to study wastage of education and manifestations graduate Mansoura University and identify the shortcomings and weaknesses which reduces their effectiveness and efficiency, and the factors that lead to educational wastage at that stage, which in turn helps in searching for ways and alternatives that limit the manifestations of Educational wastage at them and that entails. many of drawbacks, including: Increasing the cost of graduate, Low coefficient of productivity for higher studies, Fill the places and educational possibilities for a long period, The weakness of the internal and external efficiency for higher studies. And the research went through several procedures addressed by the researcher in six chapters : - Chapter I : (general framework of the research) has addressed the problem, objectives and important tools and sample and previous studies. - Chapter II : Conceptual framework for waste of education and ways to measure it has dealt with the origins and concept of Educational waste, and waste types of education and its relationship to some economic terms and methods of measurement. - Chapter III : The reality of Mansoura University graduate has dealt with the concept of graduate studies and their goals and their importance, their characteristics and their relationship to each of the scientific research and community service, and the reality of graduate studies at the University of Mansoura in terms of its objectives and its components of human, organizational and physical. - Chapter IV: Educational aspects of wastage in graduate studies at the University of Mansoura. This point has addressed some aspects of the educational and waste represented in the followingand re-engineered, and the form of school administration after re-engineering operations Low number of graduate students enrolled, Low productivity of Graduate Studies, Higher average survival of a graduate student. - Chapter V : (field study) in order to identify Educational waste factors in postgraduate studies at the University of Mansoura and requirements necessary to reduce it. - Chapter VI : Summary of Findings and Recommendations. The search had reached a set of results including the following : - Higher survival average of a graduate student to get a degree as the average for a master’s degree student about three years and one month, while the average for a Ph. D. student about three years and five months : - low percentage of enrolled graduate to enrolled undergraduate where the total number of enrolled in graduate studies in the academic year 2010/2011 about 110 692 12.7% of the total number enrolled in the university and this represents a small percentage under Matsay the University of access to quality and global competition.
