Abstract
Atotal of 217375 bovine animals were slaughtered in sohag Governorate slaughter -houes and inspected for detection tuberculosis affection during the period 1986-1990 . The total number of examined cattle carcases was 107016 ,where 7(0.007%) ,were totally condemned as generallized affection with tuberculosis .Local affection of tuberculosis in examined cattle carcases was 82(0.077%) 261(0.244%) ,1700(0.589%) ,33(0.031%) ,103(0.096%) and I (0.0009%) in inspected quarter ,head ,Lung ,Liver ,intestine and spleen ,respectively
Concerning tuberculosis affection of examined buffaloe carcases , it was observed that 16 (0.017%) out of 92154 carcases were affected by generalized form of tuberculosis .Partial condemnation due to local affection with tuberculosis was 69 (0.075%), III (0.120%) ,588(0.638%) , 12(0.013%), 22(0.024%) and 20(0.022%) in examined quareter ,head , Lung ,Liver intestine and spleen ,respectively .
One (0.005%) out of 18205 inspected veal carcases was totally condemned as tuberculosis affection ,whereas the only organ affection with tuberculosis was 39( 0.214%) Lung . Histopathological investigation was carried out to identify the tuberculous lesions ,where the study showed the characteristic pathological tuberculous lesions .
Recommendation to the avoid the affection of human beings with tuberculosis was also discussed.
