Abstract

Bacteria appear to be the most cause of rabbit diseases and lead to encomic losses. Out of these P. multocida and S.typhimurium. Infection of growing rabbits were considered the most serious problem. Many antibacterial drugs are use in treatment. Such as gentamicin, enrofloxacin spectinomycin and oxytetracycline.
60 white female New Zeland rabbits 2months old and 1.5 kgm average weight were used in this work and divided into two groups :
1-Group A : Which divided into six subgroups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 each of 5 rabbits subgroup group 1 kept as control normal subgroup 2 infected with P. multocida subgroup 3 non infected treated with gentamicin, subgroup 4 non infected treated with enrofloxacin, subgroup 5 infected treated with gentamicin and subgroup 6 infected treated with enrofloxacin.
2-Group B : Which also divided into six subgroups, I, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 each of 5 rabbits, subgroup 1 kept control normal, subgroup 2 infected with S.typhimurim, subgroup 3 non infected treated with spectinomycin, subgroup 4 non infected with oxytetracycline, subgroup 5 infected treated with spectinomycin and subgroup 6 infected treated with oxytetracycline.
The blood collected at 3rd, 10th and 17th day after beginning of treatment and sera were separated for determination of serum total proteins, albumin, globuline fractions, liver function (GGT, ALP, cer), kidney function (urea, creatinine, and uric concentration) some trace elements (copper and zinc). The study found the following results :
1-Gentamicin :
There were non significant changes in serum total proteins, alkaline phosphatase activity, and alpha globulins concentration, urea, creatinine and zinc concentration wherever albumin, GGT and copper recorded significant decrease. On the other hand, 13-globulins, y-globulins, ceruloplasmin, uric acid recorded significant increase.
2-Enrofloxacin :
There were non significant changes in serum total proteins, a-globulins, ALP, urea, creatinine and zinc concentration. The data revealed significant decrease in serum albumin, and copper concentration, on the other hand (3-globulins, y-globulins, ceruloplasmin, GGT and uric acid recorded significant increase.
3-Spectinomycin :
Presented study revealed non significant change in serum total proteins, a globulins concentration alkaline phosphatase activity, urea and creatinine concentration.
Serum albumin, GGT activity and copper concentration recorded significant decreased, also zinc revealed transiet decrease wherever. (3-globulins, y-globulins, ceruloplasmin, and uric acid showed significant increase.
4-Oxytetracycline :
There were non significant changes in serum total protein a-globulins, urea and creatinine concentration wherever, serum albumin, copper and zinc concentration recorded significant decrease meanwhile, 13-globulins, y-globulins, ceruloplasmin concentration, GGT and ALP activity and uric acid concentration showed significant increase.
