Abstract The current study aimed to investigate the effect of Collaborative Online Learning (COL) strategy on developing four of the EFL creative writing skills (accuracy, flexibility, fluency, and originality) of EFL college students.Forty two students enrolled in the second year, English Language Department,Faculty of Education, Shebin El-Kom Menoufia University, were the participants of this study. The researcher designed two equivalent versions of the EFL Creative Writing Test to be used as a pre and a post test, a scoring rubric to be used for the grading of the students’ writings, an electronic enrichment EFL Creative Writing Course, two students’ guides based on Moodle and wikis for collaborative writing, a teacher’s guide for using Moodle to implement the COL strategy, and a questionnaire of students’ attitudes towards collaborative writing and the COL strategy. Moodle wikis were used as a platform for students’ collaborative writings tasks. The data obtained were statistically analyzed. Findings revealed that the COL strategy was effective in developing the students’ creative writing skills. In addition, there was a positive attitude towards COL.
