Abstract Nonconvulsive status epilepticus is a cognitive or behavioral change that lasts for at least 30 minutes, with evidence of seizures on EEG. This work was designed to evaluate the prevalence of NCSE among children with unexplained coma. This accomplished through detailed history; physical examination; laboratory investigations and EEG. This study was conducted on 30 comatose children with unexplained cause. They were 18 males and 12 females, their ages ranged from 2 months to 12 years with a mean age of3.142± 4.25 years. |
