Abstract
This study discuss in details the water treatment in Sidi Krir module units (5,6 &7). First, it introduces a general idea on power stations especially Sidi krir power stations and the importance of water treatment.Second, it describes in details electrochlorination plant its purpose, design requirements, general description followed by the process of producing hypochlorite from sea water and how its stored and diluted with air then, the injection of hypochlorite in water both, the continuous and the shock dosing finally, system flushing with sea water and hypochlorite generators acid washing and how the plant is preserved for long term shut-down. Third, the demineralization water plant is described 10 details, the design parameters, the description, the demineralized water production, the regeneration of mixed bed and how the resin is transferred and stored. Finally, comes the turn of chemical dosing and sampling systems there scope, requirements, main components and description.
