Abstract The objective of this study was to determine the effect of bentonite, technomos and bentonite +Technomos on growth performance, hematological, hormonal and caecal parameters in New Zealand white rabbits. Fifty one , forty day old, male New Zealand white rabbits and their body weight ranged between (1000 ±100 gm) were randomly selected and used for the experimental work for 9 weeks , The rabbits were gradually adapted to diet supplemented with {bentonite , Technomos and bentonite+Technomos} for two weeks. Before the onset of the experiment. The rabbits were randomly assigned into four dietary treatments each of 13 rabbits except control group of 12 rabbits. Dietary treatments were designated as control (basal ration), bentonite (2.5% of the diet), Technomos (1.5 gm/ kg diet) and bentonite +Technomos co-supplementation (2.5% of the diet+1.5 gm/ kg diet). All dietary treatments showed non significant difference at 3rd week while, significant increase in all other weeks in all treated groups in body weight in comparison with control group and the results showed that there was significant decrease in first week, 6th week, 8th and 9th week in feed conversion ratio when compared to control. Moreover, the total feed conversion ratio showed significant decrease in feed conversion ratio in comparison with control group and the results showed significant decrease in bentonite+ Technomos group in cholesterol level at 4 weeks while, at 6 weeks showed significant decrease in cholesterol level in technomos and bentonite+ Technomos group when compared to control but significant decrease in cholesterol level in bentonite group and significant increase in technomos and bentonite+technomos in comparison with control group at 9 weeks during the experimental period Dietary bentonite showed significant decrease in ammonia nitrogen concentration (NH3-N) when compared to control group. |
