Abstract The result of present study could be summarized in the following point: A. Isolation and identification of E.coli from Chicken samples: A total 200 chickens were examined. E. coli was isolated from 150 (75%), were collected from different Broiler chickens with post mortem lesion of colisepticaemia . Bacteriological examination was carried out and the percentage of positive sample was·75%. Higher percentage of E. coli infection was detected in the old age of broilers with respiratory manifestations . B. Biochemical identification of E.coli isolates: The Table (9): Showed biochemical characters of isolated E . coli. The strains uniformly produced Positive indole, methyl red. Negative voges-proskaur, citrate medium and They did not cause break down of urea nor liquefy gelatin produced H2S.C. Serological characterization of E.coli isolates: A total 25 E.coli isolates were examined serologically. E.coli serogroups recovered from examined chickens samples collected from different farms were 01 (1), 026 (1), 055 (1), 0119 (1), 044 (1) , 0157 (1) , 0126 (2), 0146 (2) ,078 (4) , 0125 (6) and untypable (5) with a perecentage of 4%, 4%, 4%, 4%,4%,4%, 8%, 8% ,16% ,24% ,20% respectively. as shown in Table (10). |
