Abstract
Ophthalmia neonatorum is the most common eye disease in newborns it is a term applied to any conjunctvitis with discharge that occurs in the first28 days of life Regardless of its cause ophthalmia neonatorum is characterized by redness of conjunctiva accompanied by swelling of the eyelids and conjunctival discharge.
