Abstract

Objectives of this study: defining the basic differences between the requirements and controls of the two standards, defining which is better for the egyptian automotive production and relevant service part organizations to be adopted for establishing effective quality management systems, Providing a guidance road map for setting-up a quality management system to support the egyptian organixations establishing systems, which shall be able to provide for continual improvemant, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste, Providing techniques needed to support implementing the quality management system and add to its effectiveness, efficiency and adequacy, Providing supporting guidance to the egyptian organization how to use the standard as a total qualtiy management TQM tool.
The plan for study and research : Study of qualtiy management system according to the international standard ISO 9000 series, Study of quality management system in automative production and relevant service part organizations according to ISO/TS 16949, Doing a comparative study between the two international standards ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949, Doing a comparative study between the two international standards ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 to fulfill the objectives of the study.
The practical part of the study the status of the egyptian automotive production and relevant service part orgainzational structures. then, choosing an origanization and designing its quality management system, documneting the system in a quality manual and preparing some basic qualtiy assurance procedures and work instructions.
The plan of study is fully implemented and all study objectives have been completely fulfilled.
A summary of the results, Organizations face a very severe competition in local, regional and international markets. So, the first goal of the too management of any organization is to enhance customer satisfaction to keep in business and adds to its organization`s market share. The major contribution to this satisfaction is ensured by the supply of products and services to an assured level of quality. To achieve this objective, the management of the organization has to requirements and controls of international standards ISO 9001 & ISO/TS 16949, implement, maintain and continually improve this system. Then using that as basis and tools to adopt total quality management system approach TQM through the continuous improvement.
