Abstract

The results obtained for chemical analysis for grains of two wheat varieties could be summarized as follows 1- The protein content in stork S (12.51%) was higher than that found in Giza 157 (11.30%) white the latter contained a lower level of carbohydrate and undetermmined materials (66.74%) than the former (56.12%). 2- rrhe crude fiber content in Stork S was much higher (17.15%) than that determined (7.11%) for Giza 157. 3- Both varieties recorded a slight differences in ash content. Also the two varieties showed that they contained closer values of lipid (2.50%) for Giza 157 and 2.66% for Stork S. The insecticides compounds used in this study were sumicidine and sumithion. The obtained results were as follows: a- The recovery percentages were 88 in Giza 157 and 75 in Stork S for sumicidine while they were 87 and 79 for sumithion respectively. b- The rate of the insecticide application has no effect on the recovery percent. The rate of degrada1:ion of both insecticides was similar along trhe storage period at two used concentration (2 and 4 p.p.m.). On contrary, it was found a marked differences in both insecticides residues between two varieties. For example the determined residues after 60 days of application at the rate of 2 p.p.m. for sumicidine and sumithion were 0.92 p.p.m. and 0.59 p.p.m. in Giza 157 while they were 0.65 p.p.m. and 0.98 p. p. m. for two insecticides in Stork S than in Giza 157, respectively. e- Determination of insecticide residues in wheat g.rains revealed the higher concentrations of both insecticides retarded the penetration than the lower ones in Giza 157. But in the case of Stork S the concentration had no effect on the penetration of insecticide. c- The Effect Of Sumicidinc And Sumithion Residues On The Chemical Composition And Germination Percent Of Wheat Grains During Storage: conent at the end of storage period in the two varieties.
