Abstract Four sets of digestibility trials we e carri~d out in the Farm of Animal Production Department, Faculty of ~r’culture Minia University to valuate the feeding va_ue of DPW as a feed ingredient in po u.ltry diets. Each set of trials included 6 digestibility trials representing different levels of DPW (0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25%)replacing a similar froportion from the control diet. 0 e of the following classes was used in each set of experiments (Fayoumi hens, LSL layers, LSL chicks and rabbits). Wi to. each level of DFW four birds Gr anima s were used as rerlicates. Sa ’lples vf feeds and their corresponding excreta were taken for anal, ysis a.nd evaluation of the DPN. 1- The cuntrcl diets (DFW free diets) realized the lowest figures for feed ccnsu.m tien in all eXl eriments. The adeli tion CI DP,’l to the diets in dL.’ferent levels ~vere sit:,Eificant at the prv;’;a ility of 5% or 1% and in 0 er cases no statistical difference was Gbserved. 2- The adiition of graded level of DPW tc tte centrol diet increased successively the dry matter ratio (dry excreta voided/dry matter feed intake). The increase in dry ~atter ratio was statistically linear ( <:CoCl). |
