Abstract
The twentith century has been characterized by a maked increaes in numbre and proprotion of aged people all ove the world.
And in Egypt as well Aging itself is not a health problem.
It is physiological inevitable changes that increases the probability of health problems. Thses problems may be physical social and psycological .
Some of these problems can be prevented through preiodic physical and psychosocial assessments tailored to the know risk and disability patterns.
The aim of the study is to assess the physical and psycho-social needs of the elderly as a basis to desing a nursing cae program to meet these needs.
