Abstract Asthma and other atopic diseases are the most common chronic illness of childhood. It is a major global public health problem. The prevalence and severity of the diseases are increasing particularly in urbanized areas around the world. Aim of the work: • To assess the efficacy of cluster immunotherapy against cockroach sensitization. Subjects & Methods: • This was achieved through a history taking obtained from those children, 20 children were included in this study (45% were males and 55% were females) as there were (40%) asthmatic children, with allergic rhinitis were (35%), with combined asthma and rhinitis were (10%) and with atopic dermatitis were (15 %). • The age of children ranged from 4-18 years, all children were subjected to history taking including personal data (name, age, sex, family history) history as regard asthma and other atopic diseases, all children were subjected to skin prick test and intradermal test and cluster immunotherapy. Results: The results of this study reported the following: • In the current study, we followed the efficacy of cluster of immunotherapy shots of the children on the improvement of cockroach sensitization there were statistical significant difference before introduction of the immunotherapy and after. CONCLUSION • The cluster immunotherapy showed high efficacy on the improvement of cockroach sensitization. |
