PROBLEM:
The present study problem was stated in the following two main questions:
1) What are the principles of Islamic affective education?
2) What is the role of Islamic affective education in the development of contemporary society?
In order to answer these questions, the following sub-ones were stated:
- What is the analytic conceptual framework of Islamic affective education?
- What are the components of Islamic affective education?
- What are the features of the present affective crisis in the contemporary Islamic society?
- What is the role of different educational media in achieving the objectives of affective education?
- What are the important techniques for achieving Islamic affective education?
- What are the contributions of Islamic affective education in overcoming some problems and issues of the contemporary society?
- STUDY OBJECTIVES:
1. Defining the principles and features of Islamic affective education.
2. Examining the reasons of affective crisis in contemporary Islamic society.
3. Identifying the most important roles the educational media should be carried out to achieve the objectives of affective education.
4. Investigating the important educational techniques for achieving the objectives and principles of Islamic affective education.
5. Providing a suggested vision for benefitting from these principles in the development of contemporary society and facing some of its issues and problems.
- STUDY METHOD:
The descriptive method was used in the present study because it was appropriate to the study nature.
- STUDY TERMINOLOGY:
The following two terms were defined: Affection and affective education.
- STUDY PLAN:
In order to answer the study questions and to achieve its
objectives, these procedures were followed:
 Chapter 1: The study general framework.
 Chapter 2: Islamic affective education (analytic-conceptual framework).
 Chapter 3: The components of affective education in Islam.
 Chapter 4: The affective crisis in the contemporary Islamic society.
 Chapter 5: The educational media and their roles in achieving the objectives of right affective education.
 Chapter 6: The techniques for achieving the principles and features of Islamic affective education.
 Chapter 7: The contributions of Islamic affective education in overcoming some problems and issues of the contemporary society.
- STUDY RESULTS:
The present study reached several results. The following are only some of them:
 The affective education is a very important part in the Islamic education.
 The affective education is based on fixed features and principles derived from the Holy Qura’an, Sunna and the contemporary Islamic thought and scholars.
 The individual has affective needs and motives and emotional intelligence, values and feelings.
 Communication and contact should be activated between family, school, mass media, mosques, and peer groups so as to carry out their roles and responsibilities in developing the Muslim affective education.
 The dependence on the features and principles of Islamic affective education should be taken seriously by the Islamic societies of achieving the comprehensive economic and social development.
 The suggested vision for activating the role of affective education for overcoming the Islamic society problems and issues focused on the objectives of affective education, the content of Islamic affective education, the techniques of Islamic affective education, and finally, the requirements for achieving the suggested vision.
