Abstract

Hospital waste is a special type of waste produced in small quantities carrying a high potential of infection and injury. Inadequate and improper handling may have serious public health consequences and a significant impact on the environment. The aim of the current study was to assess the practice of the nursing staff, doctors and housekeepers related to waste management.
