This chapter aims to provide a summary of the problem of the study and the procedures and tools discussed and the most important findings and recommendations and the most important proposals, which ended with them in light of the results reached.
First: Summary of the study:
Arabic is the symbol of the Arab entity and address of the personal and is a means to express one’s feelings and his desire And needs and is a means of understanding between the members of his group and the transfer of culture and culture of his fathers and ancestors to future generations so it was of interest Our language of nationalism and work to accustom sons speak Arabic language sound and trained to think the language of Arab nationalist demand sound.
And the Arabic language as the other four of the language arts language is listening and talking, reading, writing and reading are Language arts and one of the most important, where it occupies a prominent place among the four language skills are the most important tools to gain Knowledge, culture and communication fruit of the human mind, then it is one of the most important means of social advancement and growth of the individual and scientific Knowledge is given by the reading with a big impact in the formation of an individual’s personality mature and integrated, as it was a way of Means listening and a tool for problem solving and motivation of creative thinking incentives.
And access to modern education was affected by the curriculum over the second half of last century a number of Educational reform movements, the last movement, where educational standards have helped these standards to gain pupils Proficiency in language skills and remain in the long run the best readers and writers better and better listeners and speakers By identifying what needs to be careful to know the information about the Arabic language and must Acquired skills Language standards and helps students to identify the purpose for reading and selection of appropriate techniques and methods to achieve this Purpose also helps teach reading standards on the use of reading in different life situations efficiently and in Middle school .
and in spite of the development of standards in teaching middle school reading, but the lack of reading instruction To develop appropriate content and methods of teaching and learning activities appropriate tools and calendar control over the achievement of these standards.
Secondly:
The present study identified a problem in the weak reading skills of middle school students as well as the lack of to studies of the development of reading skills of these students in the light of the standards of literacy and to address this problem, she said the current studies, the main question for the following:
How can the development of reading preparatory phase in the light of the standards of teaching Arabic?
Thus, the following sub-questions answered?
-What criteria and indicators for the development of reading preparatory phase?
-To what extent the availability of these standards and indicators in the education of middle school reading stage?
-What the proposed vision for the development of teaching reading in middle school standards in the light of the Arabic language?
-How effective the application of some units of the proposed concept for teaching reading in first grade preparatory?
Third, the study measures:
The study group of measures with a view to answer questions branching of the main question and the measures can be summarized as follows:
1-Identify the most important criteria and indicators for the development of reading preparatory phase through:
-Research study and previous studies in the field of standards of teaching reading
- Study of books, periodicals and conferences that dealt with building curriculum in light of the standards
- Study of criteria and indicators of national and international literacy
-Study the characteristics of students and their orientation in middle school
- Study the characteristics of teaching reading and objectives of the preparatory phase
- Build a list of the most important criteria and indicators for teaching reading
- To know the views of experts and teachers in teaching reading standards
- Amend the list in the light of the views of arbitrators
- Reach for the list in its final form
2- Determine the extent of availability of these standards and indicators in the curriculum of teaching reading to middle school stage, through:
Building form analysis of the goals-
Building form content analysis-
Note card to build a teacher’s performance-
View tool to image the initial group of experts and specialists-
Adjustment tools based on expert opinion and formulation in its-
Conduct analysis and the results recorded-
3-Construction of the proposed scenario for the development of teaching reading in middle school and in the following manner:
- Place the criteria and indicators for teaching reading to middle stage
Selection of content and methods and strategies for teaching reading in middle school-
Place the activities of teaching reading-
Determine the methods of the modern calendar to teach reading-
4-Determine the effectiveness of some units of the proposed visualization in teaching reading through:
-Select some units of the proposed concept to the class the first preparatory
Select a sample of first graders preparatory-
Prepare a test to measure the level of tribal performance of the two groups-
-Teaching modules developed and the application of its activities on the students of the experimental group
-Application of the test past on the two groups
Monitoring and process data statistically-
Analysis of the results and interpretation-
Fourth, the most important findings of the study:
The study found a set of results, most notably the following:
1-The percentage of indicators achieved the targets fully 2.2% of the total number of standard indicators and the percentage of indicators achieved by the standard targets partly a rise of 4.4% of the total number of indicators either standard indicators that have not achieved the objectives and a rise of 93.3% of the total number of standard indicators.
2-The content of the reading curriculum preparatory phase does not take modern trends in teaching reading Including standards of literacy and the subject of the current study, check out these standards in this curriculum represents the ratio of 44.4% which is very low
3- That the performance of teaching Arabic language teachers who teach reading to middle school stage did not keep pace with modern strategies in teaching reading rate (41.8%), which is below the level of the weak
-All members of the research group have received less than 60 degrees of the total degrees of the elements of the note card to reach the level of performance to a very weak
4-The study found a statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level and between the average grades of the two experimental and control group in the post measurement of the extent of performance indicators to achieve normative levels for the experimental group demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed visualization provided by the current study
5- Did not show differences in the pre and post measurements in the selection of silent reading skills, I have a control group student this means lack of interest in the Arabic language curricula planners the standards of teaching Arabic in general and especially reading
Fifth, recommendations and proposals:
This section of the study recommendations that can take the results into practical application also presents proposals that open the way for further research in the field of teaching reading:
A - Research Recommendations:
1-The research found a list of criteria to teach reading in middle school and indicators present study therefore recommends to
Review of teaching reading and objectives in the light of this list-
-Holding training courses and workshops for teachers of Arabic language in middle school to introduce them to the standards of teaching Arabic language in general and literacy standards in particular and training on how to use these standards in the development of Arabic language skills these students have
2-A review of traditional curricula and programs provided to pupils and students to develop reading skills have
3-Holding training courses and workshops for Arabic language teachers to be trained on the recruitment of perception that the proposed offering of the current study in the development of reading skills
4-place Develop a program to train student teachers in colleges of education to train them to develop programs based on the standard levels
5-a review of traditional methods and strategies used by teachers of the Arabic language in the development of Arabic language skills
6-The need to develop methods and tools used by the Calendar Arabic language teachers to assess reading skills
B - Study proposed
Starting from previous results and an update of the current study can be done to research, the following studies
1-Specify the criteria for teaching Arabic language and its indicators in each row of the classroom in various educational levels separately
2-Preparation of programs and curricula proposed for the development of reading skills for students of different grades on each unit in the primary, preparatory and secondary education in the light of the standards of the Arabic language
3-rogram for the development of writing skills of middle school students in the light of the standards of the Arabic language
4-The effectiveness of some reading strategies in the development of modern skills of reading comprehension have a junior high school students
5-Building program for the development of attitudes toward students approach reading in different stages of education
6-Construction of a proposed program in the curricula of reading in the light of recent trends in teaching reading and study its effectiveness on student achievement at this stage
7- Prepare a proposed curriculum for advanced students in middle school in the light of the linguistic standards of excellence
