Abstract A thesis consists of three parts adding to Arabic and English summary and references. The first chapter (Introduction: Review of recent study which related to the subject of this a thesis and short note of polymer cellulose and its chelat and its application in removing of some metals and pollutants from aqueous solutions. The second chapter (Experimental and lab measurements):- This chapter has the experiments and measurements which used for preparations of resin and study its properties. Also study the adsorption capacity towards heavy metals and some pollutants from their aqueous solutions at different conditions such as time, pH, concentration of metal ions and temperature. The third chapter (Results and Discussions):- In this chapter presentation of results and discussion and divided in to two parts: Part I: In this part preparation of resin by polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate on the surface of cellulose by adding Bz2O2 as initiator and then loaded by amine groups used diethylenetriamine. The ability of the resin adsorption has been study towards the copper and mercury from their aqueous solutions. The resin show high adsorption capacity and fast kinetic. Also studying the factor affecting the adsorption behavior such time, pH, concentration of adsorbed anions and also determined the thermodynamic and kinetics reactions of resin. Summary Regeneration has been occurred by acidified thiourea by H2So4, which appear high reactivity reach to 95% without any change in resin properties. Also used the resin in removing some pollutants present in real samples from Nile water, ground water, sewage water and waste water from batteries factory to confirm the efficiency of resin. Part II:- In this part, preparation of resin by polymerization of GMA on cellulose in presence of Bz2O2 as initiator and then loaded by amine groups used diethylenetriamine and then convert to ion exchange by glycidyl trimethylammonium chloride and studying adsorption towards chromate and molybdate from aqueous solutions. Studying the better conditions for adsorption of these anions with ion exchange at different conditions such as time, pH, and concentration and determination of thermodynamic and kinetics. Regeneration also studied by use suitable solution NaOH for adsorption of chromate and molybdate, which give high efficiency without change in properties of resin. Regeneration has been occurred by 0.1 M NaOH solution as a desorption agent. The ACGA obtained has good durability for four cycles. |
