المستخلص
The study aimed at explaining the following problem :the social dimensions of the electronic crime, highlighting the social harms caused by
these crimes and focusing on the social effects on the individual and society
due to these crimes. It also focused on the legal and legislative dimension and
it’s effectiveness in combating the electronic crimes. And what makes these
crimes real danger is that most legislative texts don’t match them and aren’t
sufficient. For instance, it’s unbelievable that sending computer viruses which
damage the information stored in computers is considered a mere damage
crime.
Actually the digital environment has become a wide field for all violation
and crime types and this required to secure the maximum needed protection.
It’s also important to confront the society with these crimes both formally and
informally to fight such crimes which are constantly increasing .Therefore it has
become a necessity to pay attention to the so-called ” information security”
