Abstract Databases and knowledge base management systems are often hard to use because they do not licitly attempt to cooperate with their users. Direct answers to database and knowledgebase queries I not always be the best answers. Instead, an answer with extra or alternative information may be useful and less misleading to a user. Foundational work has been done toward endowing intelligent infonnation systems with the ability to exhibit cooperative behavior. Cooperative techniques have been bloped for considering users’ beliefs and expectations, presuppositions, and misconceptions: The integration of database (DB) technology with techniques developed in the field of artificial iirtelligent (AI) called the expert database system or intelligent database system. This integration made the database more complicated and this lead to complex search. Client applications submit streams of relational queries to database servers. For simple requests, Inter-process communication costs account for a significant portion of user-perceived latency, This trend increases with faster processors, larger memory sizes, and improved database execution algorithms, and this trend is not significantly offset by improvements in communication bandwidth. |
