Abstract It is well known that one of the main corners of statistics is statistical inference or inferential statistics. Usually statistical inference goes beyond the information contained in a set of data or a set of measurements. In order to make decision or draw conclusion or a generalization of a certain issue or assumption about a specific population, one must proceed with extreme caution. In recent years, attempts have been made to treat all of these problems within the frame work of a unified theory called decision theory. |
