المستخلص

Yemeni heritage environments are subject to continuous distortion, destruction, and extinction as a result of permanent threats and various problems. Such problems emerge from a number of factors - human, urban, and administrative- that can be controlled. Yet, delay in decisively facing such challenges and problems - resulting from underestimating the type of problem, ignorance of the method of solution, the small financial support allocated by the government, as well as the overlap in different authorities work with no clear policies and mechanisms of action- creates primary problems and secondary ones; which add to deterioration of heritage sites/buildings that represent a national wealth to the Yemeni people.
Research Problem:
The research problem is the accelerating deterioration of Yemeni heritage environments due to the lack of clear polices - technical, executive, administrative, and financial - that may be used by agencies working in heritage environments conservation to aid in increasing and organizing the conservation processes in such environments. The problem is further established by the overlap in such agencies jurisdictions in different Yemeni heritage environments.
The study aims to set an integrated framework to be an example in managing, conserving, and developing Yemeni heritage environments. This fraamework would include the administrative structure, the executive policies, and the integrated tasks that would help control and conserve different heritage environments during all stages of the conservation and restoration process.
