Abstract

PCOS is one of the most common endocrine disorders. Ovarian dysfunction is most common indication for medications use to induce ovulation.
The aim of current study is to compare between HCG & GnRH agonist for triggering ovulation after HMG protocol.
Present result is compared with data of previous studies.
Patients were recruited among those attending the out patients clinic of Elshatpy Maternity university hospital, Alexandria university Egypt.
Study included 30 patients diagnosed as (PCOS) with history of infertility (3-4) years. Patients wrote an informed consents; full history was obtained including age, menstrual status & history of infertility. Complete laboratory investigations included seminal analysis for male partner, hystosalpnigogram, FSH, LH, E2, Prolactin, free testosteron, & endometrial pattern 2nd or 3rd day cycle.
Treatment regimen
ALL patients (n=30) will randomized in two groups each group 15 patients. All cases will receive HMG only protocol starting by 75 I.U (i.m) from 3rd day of spontaneous or progesterone induced cycle then dose will be either fixed or increased by one or two ampoules according to response (there are 2 or more follicles of 18mm in diameter or more & endometrial thickness >6mm). Then triggering of ovulation will be induced by either HCG 10000 IU i.m or by 0.2mg agonist (Triptorelin) subcutaneous.
Present study provides information about pregnancy rate &incidence of OHSS to help in design of future study.
