Reviewing the first three chapters of the major population elements which are the growth, distribution and the composition of population, These chapters paint the features of personal population identity of the province whether permanent or mobility features, and the variability of this identity at the level of the province, districts and areas that make up the province, these chapters also aim to inspect the humanitarian problems that appear in case of an imbalance between the major population elements and its delicate components, but there is no doubt that they wil vary in its degree of seriousness, according to the size of the imbalance of population elements.
The following three chapters reflect some of the development trends imposed by the contemporary methodology trends (post-structural and modernity), a quality of life from the population perspective, social gap, social type and human development which are all key trends in the research and intellectual discourse of human sciences including the science of geography. The last chapter traces the features of the future study of population problems, future projections and the requirements of the anticipated population increase.
The necessity required the division of research into seven chapters preceeded by a preliminary introduction whereas the first chapter had dealt with the components of population growth, its levels and trends regarding the population growth, its overall level increase, and its problems in Iraq in the light of the demographic transition theory.
The second chapter included the distribution of population, its change and the numerical, relative and density distribution of population in addition to the population distribution according to the pattern of life, the factors affecting the distribution of the population, as well as the problems associated with population distribution and the issue of internal migration and population redistribution, while Chapter III focused on population combinations and expressed interest in the study of age and quality structure of population, the median age and the burden of supporting population, the economic and sickness structure of the population, and the education and
marital status of the population and the problems associated with population distribution and chapter IV includes the territories’ quality of life in accordance with the demographic perspective and discussed the high quality population level, the low, the middle, the low level and the extent of the crisis resulting from the pressure of low levels in the territories of the quality of life in accordance with the demographic perspective. As for chapter V; the map of the human development of population, it included the levels of human develeopment as indicator of health, education, profiling in accordance with the human development levels, the health and education services and how to upgrade these two services in addition to planning of education and health sectors and the impact of each and every one of them on population. Chapter VI dealt with the social quality type and the gender gap from the population perspective of addressing the gap in the quality of education status, the gap in the labor force quality and economic activities, and the gap in the quality aspects of health as well as the quality levels of the gap. As for the seventh and last chapter : it was dedicated to study the expected population increase and the development requirements and as required in the first instance out of the population projections until 2020. Thus the expense of the requirements of this population increase of food as well as its requirements of housing, and basic services and the research highlights the conclusion which summarizes the results of the study and its suggestions as well as a list of sources and references in both Arabic and English languages and its supplements.
