Abstract

Randomly 225 marine shrimp samples (105 P. japonicus, 70 P. latisulcatus and 50 P. semisulcatus were collected from Attaka fishing ports Suez-Bay, Suez city, Egypt. Some examined shrimp showed black spots, necrosis and sloughing of body parts. A target organ for isolation was hepatopancreas, gills and External surfaces. Morphological and biochemical identification of bacterial isolates Revealed V. alginolytcus, V. parahaemolyticus and V. fluvialis. Total incidence of vibriosis was 80.4%, with individual incidence of 85.7% for P. japonicas, 81.4% for P. latisulcatus and 68% for P. semisulcatus. Histopathologically necrosis, degeneration and haemocytic infiltration found in gills, hepatopancreas and muscles. Physicochemical parameters of examined water samples favor disease development.
